Wilmington, NC - The Fighting Camels went a combined 19-15 as Campbell closed out the Seahawk National Invitational Sunday, October 1.
The Camels finished with a combined 12-7 record in singles action during the three-day event and registered a 7-8 mark in doubles play.
Alexandra Andrivot posted a 2-1 record in singles play to join other teammates
Ana Castillo and
Lou Regen who tabbed the same mark on the weekend.
Regen paired with
Lea Cutura for a 2-1 record on the doubles side. The duo's performance was the best mark throughout the event for the Camels.
The two grabbed wins over host school UNCW's Sabrina Barisano and Rachel Marthinsen, 6-3, as well as Winthrop's Aida Kelic and Ayla Mourad, 6-2.
Huda McGraw,
Alexandra Nicoara, and
Pauline Roustan all claimed 1-0 records in singles action.
Roustan and Nicoara teamed up for a 2-2 record in doubles play. The pair picked up wins against, Big 10 opponent, Penn State's Taylor Shokow and Samantha Smith, 6-4, and Lynchburg College's Christina Harris and Halle Lavieri, 6-0.
Campbell returns to action October 14 at the Spartan Invitational. The two day event will be hosted by UNC Greensboro.
