WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. & ATLANTA, GA. - Dorcus Ewoi improved her school record in the 1500 meters at the Wake Forest Invitational while several Camels set personal records at the Georgia Tech Invitational on Friday.
Ewoi ran in the 1500m invite only section at the Wake Forest Invite, where she improved her school record time down to 4:14.92. Her time ranks 34th in the country and 14th on the east qualifying list.
Patience Marshall placed second in the women's shot put at the Georgia Tech Invitational with a mark of 15.47m (50' 9.25") while Omar Ibrahim earned a personal best mark in the men's hammer throw with a mark of 53.93m (176' 11").
C.J. McBride took second and set a personal best in the men's long jump with a mark of 7.33m (24' 0.75"). Rashun Fountain also set a personal best in the long jump at 6.88m (22' 7") while Destiney Bailey-Perkins set a personal record in the women's long jump with a mark of 5.93m (19' 5.5").
Kailey Elliott set a personal best in the women's 100m hurdles with a time of 14.00 while Andre Leslie set a personal best in the men's 110m hurdles with a time of 14.66. Both Jaidyn Ramsey (11.82) and Amanda Ballard (12.07) set personal best times in the women's 100m dash.
Andre Bent (10.53) and Jamal Miller (10.55) also earned personal best times in the men's 100m.
Campbell returns tomorrow for the final day at the Georgia Tech Invitational while another group is set to compete at the USC Open in Columbia, S.C.
