Dillon, Lutz, Burris make Phil Steele Preseason All-PFL squads

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Dalton Dillon and Adam Lutz have been named First Team while Colton Burris has been tabbed Second Team Preseason All-Pioneer Football League by Phil Steele.

Dillon made Phil Steele's Preseason All-PFL First Team at fullback, while Lutz was named the top team's punter. Burris was named second team defense as a linebacker.

Dillon was named Second Team All-PFL at fullback as a freshman in 2012, rushing for 146 yards on 45 carries with a touchdown. He also caught one pass for five yards and totaled 151 all-purpose yards while earning a spot of the PFL Academic Honor Roll.

Lutz was also named Second Team All-PFL at punter as a sophomore in 2012, punting 67 times for 2705 yards with a 40.4 per kick average. He tallied a long punt of 68 yards with 16 punts inside the 20, 13 fair catches and two touchbacks, also kicking off 31 times for 1657 yards, averaging 53.5 yards per kick with three touchbacks. Lutz also collected Second Team Academic All-PFL honors and earned PFL Academic Honor Roll recognition. He tallied an Honorable Mention for National Punter of the Week from the CFPA after punting five times for a 47.4 average with a career long of 62 yards and two punts inside the 20 against Valparaiso.

Burris, a CoSIDA First Team Academic All-District 3 and First Team Academic All-PFL honoree last season, made 63 tackles, 24 solo and 39 assisted with a tackle for loss and a forced fumble. Also named to the PFL's Academic Honor Roll, Burris ranked 25th in the PFL in overall tackles and 16th among linebackers.

Campbell will begin the 2013 season on Aug. 31 at Charlotte. The team's six-game home schedule will start with UVa.-Wise on Sept. 7 at 6 p.m.
