BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Preseason training camp continued for the Camels with the team's third scrimmage on a rainy Saturday morning.

Saturday marked Campbell's 18th practice of the preseason.

Before the scrimmage, the team went through positional drills and competitions. The Camels then went through 7-on-7 and special teams.

During the scrimmage, units went head to head, first in red zone situations, then from the offense's own 20 yard line.

Practice kicked off on July 31.

Camp closes on Saturday, Aug. 24 with Fan Appreciation Day, giving Fighting Camel fans a chance to meet Campbell Football players and coaches, as well as tour the facility. The event begins at 10 a.m. with a scrimmage at noon and a special meet and greet session following.

The 2013 season will begin on Aug. 31 on the road at Charlotte. The team's six-game home schedule will start with UVa.-Wise on Sept. 7 at 6 p.m.
