BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The eight-game Big South Conference game of the week on the American Sports Network begins Saturday with a 12 noon start at Gore Arena when Campbell hosts pre-season league favorite Winthrop.
Mike Hogewood and Jeff Jackson will be on the call for the game, which will air on 74 television outlets nationwide, including 10 throughout the Big South footprint in the Carolinas and Virginia.
WRDC (MyTV) and WLFL-2 (ASN) will carry the game in the Raleigh-Durham market, while it will also air in Charlotte on WCCB-3 (MeTV) and Greensboro on WXLV-2 (ASN). In South Carolina, WACH-2 (ASN) in Columbia and WWMB-3 (ASN) in Myrtle Beach will air the game. The game will also be on WTVZ-2 (ASN) in Norfolk and WSET-2 (ASN) in Roanoke, plus Cox Sports TV stations in both Virginia markets.

The Winthrop at Campbell game features the conference's top two scorers in 2016 freshman of the year Chris Clemons (23.3) of Campbell, plus Winthrop's 2016-17 Big South pre-season player of the year Keon Johnson (21.3). Xavier Cooks (16.1) of Winthrop and Campbell's Shane Whitfield (13.1 points per game) are two of the more versatile forwards in the league.
