BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Following last night's decisive win in the post-season tournament, Campbell has been selected to host a CIT second-round game Monday (Mar. 20) at 7:00 p.m.

Campbell's second-round opponent will be determined when CIT first round games are concluded Thursday night.  The Camels have won five of their last six games, the only setback coming to host and top-seeded Winthrop Mar. 5 in the Big South final.

With Chris Clemons (39) and Marcus Burk (27) combining for a school-record 66 points, the Camels (18-17) knocked off Houston Baptist (17-14) 98-79 Tuesday in the CIT opening round at Gore Arena.  Campbell started the game on a 22-4 run and never trailed while making 13-of-26 threes to defeat the Southland Conference regular season runner-up.

The 2017 CIT is the eighth in the history of the tournament. The CIT was created by in 2009 in order to give deserving teams an opportunity to participate in the postseason.  Since then, the CIT has had more schools make their postseason debut (25) and more programs win their first-ever postseason game (24) than all other tournaments combined.
