Following a third-place finish last week in the Sedgefield Classic at Greensboro, N.C., 2012 Campbell University graduate Vaita Guillaume stands third in the eGolf Tour money list ($23,858) in eight events.
A native of Papeete, Tahiti who calls Keith Hills Golf Club in Buies Creek his home course, Guillaume has finished among the top-20 individuals in each of his last six events. In addition to the Sedgefield Classic, Guillaume also matched his season-best finish with third-place showings at the Cowans Ford Open (Mar. 26-28) and The Championship at St. James Plantation (Apr. 9-12).
The 2014 season marks the 13th that the eGolf Tour has ranked as the number-three tour in professional golf circles in the United States. The schedule continues June 11-14 with the Forest Oaks Classic in Greensboro.
Guillaume, a 2012 PING All-American who was named to the 2012 Big South all-conference first-team, earned all-league honors in each of his four seasons with the Camels. He was tabbed second-team all-conference in the Atlantic Sun in his first three years while also earning A-Sun all-freshman team recognition. He is one of three players in Campbell's Division I era (since 1977-78) to gain all-league honors four times, joining Duane Bock (1988-91) and Braxton Wynns (2001-04).
