BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- Campbell head coach Steve Armas will be a guest on 99.9 FM The Fan's weekly Saturday morning radio show, Back of the Net with Charlie Slagle.
The fourth-year Camel coach will appear during the show that runs from 7:00-8:00 a.m. this Saturday (Sept. 21).
Fans outside the 99.9 FM coverage area may listen on-line at espntriangle.com.
Facing one of the toughest schedules in the nation, the Camels stand 1-0 in the Big South Conference and 1-4 overall. Most recently, Armas' squad pushed the country's top-ranked team -- North Carolina -- to overtime Tuesday in Buies Creek before falling 1-0 on a deflected shot in the 97th minute.
Over the last two years, Campbell owns a 2-3 record against Atlantic Coast Conference schools and is 2-3-1 vs. nationally-ranked teams.
Tuesday's match marked the first time since 2002 that the Tar Heels earned a victory in Buies Creek after losing shutout decisions to the Camels in 2006 and 2008. It also was the closest contest Campbell has ever played against a top-ranked school.
CU is now 0-5 all-time vs. the nation's top-ranked teams, including a pair of 2-0 losses at No.-1 Duke in 1983 and 1996.
The challenging slate continues Saturday when Campbell (1-4) travels to 28th-ranked Charlotte (2-2-1) for a 7:00 p.m. kick-off.
