Men's Tennis announces spring schedule

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Head coach David Johnson has announced the men's tennis schedule for the spring of 2017.

The Camels will begin the semester in Chapel Hill, N.C. on Sunday, January 15th as they take on Bucknell at noon. The following weekend, CU will head to Richmond, Va. for the VCU 4-1 Invitational where they will take on Charlotte and Morgan State on Friday, January 20th.

The spring schedule features 12 home matches for the Camels, with the home opener coming on Thursday, February 2nd as Campbell hosts Chowan. CU will host dual matches for the men's and women's teams four times this spring against USC Upstate, UNC Asheville, Morgan State and South Carolina State. Senior Day will come against N.C. Central when the Campbell men host their final home match on Thursday, Apr. 13.

Conference play begins on March 4 when the Camels host UNC Asheville. Following that dual, CU will take a three-match conference road trip as they face Liberty, Longwood and Presbyterian. Campbell hosts Winthrop on March 24 and will wrap up the conference schedule when they visit Gardner-Webb on March 30.

Following the regular season, the Camels will head to Winston-Salem, N.C. for the Big South Tennis Championships, scheduled for April 19-22. For a full breakdown of dates, opponents, locations and times, view the full schedule here.
