CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- For the fourth time this season, the Fighting Camels have swept the Big South Men's Tennis weekly honors, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon. Campbell junior Lorenz Schwab was selected as the Player of the Week, while Fernando Clemente earned Come Ready Nutrition Freshman of the Week honors for the fourth time this spring.

Schwab went undefeated in singles and doubles action this past week as Campbell took down Liberty and Longwood on the road. Against Liberty, Schwab and doubles partner Dustin Werner narrowly defeated the Flames' No. 1 pairing of Alex Poynter and Diego Castano, 6-5, (7-5). The Dusseldorf, Germany native faced off against Castano in singles play, earning a 6-4, 7-5 win to clinch Campbell's first victory over Liberty since 2013. Schwab and Werner won their second-straight doubles match at Longwood without dropping a single game to Amadeo Blasco/Florian Uffer, 6-0. Schwab's singles match against the Lancers went unfinished as the Camels quickly clinched a 4-1 victory.

Clemente posted back-to-back singles wins at Liberty and Longwood. The Barcelona, Spain native fought back after dropping the first set to Liberty's Max Borcuti to win in a third tiebreaker set, 3-6, 6-4, 10-7. He followed that strong performance with a win in straight sets over Longwood's Jorge Gomis, 6-3, 7-6, to clinch CU's third-straight conference win. Clemente currently rides a three-match win streak and owns an 11-2 singles record this spring.

Up next, the Campbell men will travel to Clinton, S.C. for their third-straight conference road match against the Presbyterian Blue Hose. That match is scheduled for Saturday, March 18 at the Templeton Tennis Center. For the most up-to-date information on Campbell tennis, follow @GoCamelsTennis on Twitter.
