Prep/Personal: A four-year softball letterwinner for Northern Durham High School… was named the 2011 Northern Durham Wendy’s Heisman Award Winner and the school’s Female Athlete of the Year as a senior…on the softball diamond she was selected as the school’s MVP her final season and also earned All-Conference, All-District and All-State honors…she earned recognition from WRAL’s Tom Suitor as an “Extra Effort Award Winner”…she hit .579, with 14 doubles, seven home runs, an on-base percentage of .648 and a slugging percentage of 1.158 in her final season…as a junior she led her high school to the PAC-6 Softball Conference Championship…named the Pac 6 Conference’s Player of the Year as a junior when she hit .532, 10 doubles, three triples, seven home runs, an on-base percentage of .706, a slugging percentage of 1.151, 38 RBIs and 24 walks…also named All-Conference, All-District and All-State as a junior…set seven Northern Durham single season offensive records…selected for the Battle of the Border All-Star Showcase and won the showcase’s home run title…as a sophomore was also an All-Conference, All-District and All-State Selection…earned her high school’s MVP award after hitting .471 with 12 doubles, two triples and three home runs…a Queen of the Diamonds South Participant…the Mighty Casey Home Run Champion…was PAC 6 All-Conference Honorable Mention as a freshman when she hit .373…she ended her high school career with 18 HR, 41 doubles, 114 RBIs, 111 hits, 107 runs, a .493 batting average, an on-base percentage of .603 and a slugging percentage of .1.015…also was a member of the school’s swim team and a letterwinner in each of her four seasons in high school and qualified for the district meet as a senior…selected as team’s Most Valuable Swimmer as a junior…also lettered in volleyball and was named All-Conference in the PAC6 as a senior… in volleyball she was the team’s MVP and was selected to play in Red/White All-Star Events…played travel softball for the N.C.
