BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Head coach Todd Bradley has announced the signing of six to NLIs to join the Campbell softball program in 2017-18.

Joining Campbell softball in 2017 is Madison Balke, Brianna Bryant, Alexis Head, Hannah Jones, Katie Manring, and Cassie Wancheck.

"I am excited about this class; which brings a wealth of talent, including power, speed and pitching." Bradley said. "Each of these young ladies have a deep love for Campbell and helping us reach new heights."

Madison Balke… Balke is a 5'8" catcher and utility player from Yardville, N.J. where she played at Steinert High School. During her junior year she batted .366 in 31 games, collected 30 hits, including 12 doubles. She was named the Trentonian All-County and All-Area catcher during her junior season. Her team finished as a Colonial Valley Conference Champions, NJSIAA State Tournament Sectional Champions and NJSIAA State Tournament Championships. They were the top-ranked team in the Trentonian Area Softball Top-50. She played for the Empire State Huskies South, Central Jersey A's, and Jersey Gators 18U travel teams during 2015-16. During that 2016 season with her respective teams, she accumulated a .471 batting average in 68 at-bats, with 32 hits and 29 RBIs. In 2015, she hit .423 in 97 at-bats, including 14 doubles and 26 RBIs.

Brianna Bryant… Bryant is a 5'7" outfielder and first baseman from Fayetteville, N.C. where she played at Cape Fear High School. She is a three-time first-team all-conference player and was twice named to all-district and all-state teams in 2014-15 and 2015-16. Her high school team finished as runner-up in the state finals in 2016 and are two-time conference champions in 2015 and 2016. She played on the NC Wildcats travel team, which finished third at the ASA Nationals and first at the ASA State Championship.

Alexis Head… Head is a 5'7" pitcher and second baseman from Barnesville, GA. where she played at Lamar County Comprehensive High School. She has amassed 106 hits in her career along with 102 runs. During the 2016 season she was named the 5AA pitcher of the year, and is a two-time first-team all-region in 2014 and 2015. Her team was the 2015 5AA region champions and in 2016 they were the 5AA region runner-up. She played with the Atlanta Vipers 18U team, Cobras 16U, and Birmingham Thunderbolts 16U teams.

Hannah Jones… Jones, a 5'8" first and third baseman comes to Campbell from Lewes, Del. where she played at Cape Henlopen High School. She most recently finished her junior season where she batted .440 while played third base and shortstop. She finished her junior year earning second team all-state honors at the shortstop position. She played with the Empire State Huskies South team where she averaged .450 during two seasons and hit 18 home runs, 32 doubles and 16 triples.

Katie Manring… Manring, a 5'6" second and third baseman comes to Campbell from South Pine Hall, N.C., where she played at South Stokes High School. During her junior season she averaged .413 and was named to the all-conference and all-tournament teams. Her team won the conference tournament during her junior year. During her freshman campaign she hit three home runs in one game, tying a state record. She played travel with Carolina Cardinals Chandler, where she batted .436 and hit 41 home runs during her career. Her team won the North Carolina ASA State Championship in 2015 and the ASA 18U Class A National Championship in 2016.

Cassie Wancheck… Wancheck, a 5'3" catcher, third baseman and shortstop, comes to Campbell from Rock Hill, S.C. where she played at Northwestern High School. She finished her junior season with a .315 batting average and a 16 RBIs. She played travel ball with the Ladylightning, which finished third in nationals.
