Camels welcome Aggies for midweek contest

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Following a series sweep over Radford, Campbell welcomes North Carolina A&T to Amanda Littlejohn Stadium Tuesday.

The non-conference single game is the first of eight games at home to close out the regular season. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.

Campbell Fighting Camels (26-20)

Campbell enters the contest, its first midweek game since March 22 on a six-game winning streak, having swept its last two Big South Conference series'. CU has scored 48 runs in those six games, while allowing just 21. CU has two conference series' remaining, against Gardner-Webb and Charleston Southern.

Amber Schisler leads Campbell in batting average (.403), RBI (40) and home runs (13). Madison Herring sits first in stolen bases (26). Caroline Smith, the current Big South Player of the Week, has a .323 batting average that is third on the team. She is tied for third with 23 RBI and sits second in home runs (5) and stolen bases (11).

Katie Baker continues to lead the Campbell pitching staff, leading in ERA (3.25), wins (13) and strikeouts (83). She picked up a pair of wins during the Radford sweep, while allowing just three runs in 15 innings of work. Amber Schisler has a 4.449 ERA with seven wins and 43 strikeouts to sit second on the team.

North Carolina A&T (10-26-1)

The Aggies have lost six games in a row, with their last win coming April 1 against Bethune-Cookman, 6-4, in Daytona Beach, Fla. Most recently, they fell in both games of a doubleheader at Western Carolina, 6-2 and 4-0.

Kimberly Brunson leads the offense with a team-high 17 RBI and seven doubles. She also has a team-best three home runs. Jillian Nobles leads the team with a 9-for-11 line in stolen bases, followed by Zadia Davis' 8-for-11 mark.

In the circle Zadaisha Waddell's 3.81 ERA leads the team. She has a 6-12 record in 27 appearances, including nine complete games and 74 strikeouts. Mohagony Headen has a 5.23 ERA in 28 appearances with nine complete games and a 4-14 record.
