Swimming falls at Liberty

LYNCHBURG, VA. – Liberty downed Campbell 205-57 Friday evening at the LaHaye Aquatic Center.

Liberty moved to 7-2 overall on the season, while Campbell dipped to 7-4, taking all 14 events in the meet.

Caroline Clark took a pair of second place finishes on the day, posting a 2:08.85 mark in the 200 fly, as well as a 2:12.28 in the 200 IM. Taylor McMinn also took runner-up in the 200 breaststroke with a 2:28.09 mark.

Camels took third place finishes in seven events.

Alicia Finnigan, Rachel Hoeve, Prudence Rooker, Delia Weber and Brittany Weiss won two individual events apiece for Liberty.

Campbell will round out its 2016-17 home schedule next week, hosting North Florida on January 28 at 11 a.m. The Camels' regular season finale will come at UNCW on February 4 before heading to the CCSA Championships, February 15-18.
