Swimming seventh after day two at CCSA Champs

ATHENS, GA. – Campbell stands seventh after day two at the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Swimming and Diving Championships.

Florida Gulf Coast leads the overall women's team standings with 557.5 points, followed by Liberty (459.5), Georgia Southern (345.5), Incarnate Word (306.5), Gardner-Webb (281) and UNC Asheville (223). Campbell (222), North Florida (139), Howard (134) and VMI (74) round out team scoring through two days.

A day after tying a school record in the 200 medley relay, the Camels placed fourth in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:33.86.

Individually, Sindija Silina posted a time of 2:05.70 in the 200 IM, placing 13th, while Michelle Case registered a 23.55 mark in the 50 free, good for ninth.

Action resumes Friday at 10 a.m. with preliminary rounds. Friday's finals will begin at 6 p.m. The CCSA Championships run through Saturday at the Gabrielson Natatorium on the campus of the University of Georgia.
