Two more records fall Saturday in CCSA finale

ATHENS, GA. – Michelle Case broke the school 100 free record and helped set a new 400 free relay mark to lead Campbell Saturday on the final day of the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association Championships.

Case, a junior from Fort Mill, S.C., posted a time of 51.08 in Saturday's 100 free preliminaries, lowering a school record she set last season. Case took eighth in Saturday's finals with a 51.86.

Campbell also tallied a school record in the 400 free relay with Case, Alice Rigback, Sarah Wilson and Sindija Silina clocking in at 3:26.64, breaking a mark from last season's CCSA Championships.

Campbell finished sixth in the team standings with 695.5 points. Florida Gulf Coast took the team championship with 1574.5 points, followed by Liberty (1355), Gardner-Webb (851), Georgia Southern (818.5) and Incarnate Word (770.5).

UNC Asheville (639), North Florida (405), Howard (245) and VMI (114) rounded out team standings.

Caroline Clark took eighth in the 200 fly with a time of 2:05.91 in the final round. The junior also tallied a 2:04.80 mark in preliminary action.

Geena Squartino also took eighth in the 1650 free with a time of 17:19.28, while Kelsey Tunstall posted a 2:02.19 mark in the 200 back finals, finishing eighth. Taylor McMinn placed 12th in the 200 breast with a 2:21.78 mark.
