CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Fighting Camels have swept Big South weekly honors, the conference office announced Wednesday morning. This is just the second time that a team has swept all four awards since the Big South began recognizing Field Athletes of the Week in 2010-11.

For the Campbell women, Sabina Allen was named the Women's Field Athlete of the Week, while Joan Maritim was selected as the Women's Track Athlete of the Week. On the men's side, Amon Terer is the Men's Track Athlete of the Week, and Davian Rhodes has been named the Men's Field Athlete of the Week.

Allen represented Campbell at the Don Kirby Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. this past weekend. She recorded a season-best 12.67m in the triple jump, which currently ranks first in the Big South this year and 35th in the NCAA. Allen also put up the second-best long jump in the conference this season at 5.73m, only behind teammate Shenelle McKay who jumped a 5.84m at the same meet.

Maritim ran at the ISU Classic in Ames, Iowa last weekend, finishing first overall in the women's 5K for Campbell. She completed the race in 16:48.09 to break the Campbell indoor record, previously set by Alicia Valtin in 2007. That mark currently ranks first in the conference by a whopping 1:13.02, and is the second indoor school record that Maritim has broken this season (women's DMR and 5K).

Terer also competed at the ISU Classic, continuing his historic senior campaign for the Camels. Racing against some of the nation's top athletes, Terer placed first overall in the men's invite 5K with a time of 13:42.78. That mark shattered the Campbell indoor record (previously held by Lawrence Kipkoech) by nearly 29 seconds, and currently ranks sixth in the country. As long as his time stays in the top-16, Terer will qualify for the NCAA Indoor National Championships, scheduled for March 10-11 in College Station, Texas.

Rhodes competed with Campbell's top jumpers at the Don Kirby Invitational, representing CU in the men's high jump. He was able to clear every interval up to 2.15m, setting a new indoor PR and placing first overall at the meet. That mark also ranks first in the Big South this season, as well as 25th in the NCAA.

With these honors, the Camels have received 10 weekly awards this season. Terer and Lilla Juhasz were honored last week on Feb. 8, while Kelvin Kirui was honored the previous week on Feb. 1. Rhodes, Marta Segarra-Dionis and Meshack Kipruto were all honored on Jan. 19.

Up next for Campbell, the team is scheduled to compete at the UCS Invitational in Winston Salem, N.C. on Saturday, Feb. 18 at the JDL Fast Track. The Big South Indoor Championships will take place the following weekend at the same venue, Feb. 25-26. For the most up-to-date information on Campbell track & field, follow @GoCamelsRun on Twitter.
