BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- Campbell distance runner standouts Amon Terer and Amon Kemboi are in Torrance, Calif. for the Mt. Sac Relays, one of the most well-renowned meets in the country. Terer will compete in the men's Invite Elite 10,000m at 9:45 p.m. PST on Thursday, March 13. Kemboi is set to run the men's Invite Elite 5,000m at 8:20 p.m. PST on Friday, March 14.

This will be the first race of the season for Terer, who is coming off a two-time All-American indoor track season. At the 2017 NCAA Indoor National Championships, Terer placed third in the nation in the men's 5,000m to earn First Team All-America honors, then followed that with at 12th-place performance in the men's 3,000m to become a Second Team All-American. Last season, he placed 11th in the country in the 10,000m at NCAA Outdoor Nationals, and he looks to improve on that success this outdoor season.

Kemboi will make his collegiate outdoor 5K debut at the meet, hoping to put up a time that will qualify him for the NCAA East Regional. Earlier this season, Kemboi competed in the men's 10,000m at the Raleigh Relays, putting up a time of 28:57.45 that currently ranks 11th on the regional qualifying list.

The meet will be streamed by FloTrack ($$) at the 'Video' link above, and live results from the meet will be available at the 'Live stats' tab at the top of the page. For the most up-to-date information on Campbell track & field, follow @GoCamelsRun on Twitter.
