Terer posts top-10 regionally ranked mark at Payton Jordan Invite

STANFORD, Calif. – Amon Terer represented Campbell track & field in the men's 5000m at the Payton Jordan Invite, placing 18th overall and fifth among collegiate athletes with an outdoor personal-best time of 13:50.25 at Stanford's Cobb Track and Angell Field.

At the time of his finish, the Eldoret, Kenya native posted a 5K time that ranked sixth on the TFRRS East Regional Qualifying List, as well as 27th in all of Division I. Terer sits 13th in the region and 23rd nationally in the men's 10K as he looks to qualify for regionals in both events for the third-consecutive season.

Up next, Terer will join the rest of the Fighting Camels as the team prepares for the 2017 Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The conference meet is scheduled for Wednesday through Friday, May 10-12 at the Bagwell-Settle Stadium Track in Charleston, S.C.
