BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Senior guard Tonisha Baker (High Point, N.C.) and sophomore forward Kiera Gaines (Mechanicsville, N.C.) were selected to represent Campbell on Tuesday on the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information of America (NCCSIA) All-State Women's Basketball Second Team.

Ten players were recognized by the organization, all seniors from seven different universities except for Gaines, who is a rising junior. Campbell along with Charlotte and Elon each had two selections.

Baker paced the Lady Camels with 15.0 points per game, 113 assists and compiled a .470 field goal pct., aiding Campbell (20-11) to the program's first 20-win season since 2000-01. The Big South First Team honoree poured in a career-best 31 points and 10 rebounds in the Lady Camels' conference tournament quarterfinal win over High Point.

This is the second time that Baker has been honored by the NCCSIA, earning second team honors in 2012. She finished third on the program charts with 1,526 points, 672 rebounds, 363 assists and 264 steals.

The High Point, N.C., native recently signed a professional contract with the Marburg Blue Dolphins of the DBBL, the Women's Basketball Federation in Germany.

Gaines averaged 11.1 points and a team-best 7.1 rebounds per game for the Lady Camels. The Big South Second Team performer also posted a .500 overall shooting pct. and .417 pct. from behind the arc, pacing the squad in each category.

The Mechanicsville, Va., created opportunities in transition by generating 72 steals and 33 blocks from her forward position.

First team honors were garnered by Celeste Stewart (East Carolina), Jennifer Hailey (Charlotte), Ali Ford (Elon), Anna Freeman (Appalachian State) and Amanda Dowe (Charlotte). Nominees were submitted by North Carolina sports information professionals and voted on by the NCCSIA members.
