Campbell finishes 3rd at JMU/Eagle Landing Invitational
ORANGE PARK, FLA. - Sandra Angulo tied for 7th individually and Campbell finished 3rd in the team standings after Sunday's final round of the James Madison/Eagle Landing Invitational.
Playing the final 36 holes two-under par, Angulo shot a four-over 220 (78-71-71-220) in the 54-hole event on the par-72 Eagle Landing Golf Club. She matched her best individual finish of the year -- a 7th-place showing last fall at the Xavier Invitational.
Chattanooga teammates Christine Wolff (75-66-68-209) and Emma de Groot (76-70-67-213) finished one-two individually and the Mocs claimed the team championship (295-285-278-859).
East Carolina (304-290-298-892) was second, two strokes ahead of the Camels (311-292-291-894). South Florida (308-296-299-903) and Miami (306-298-299-903) tied for fourth place in the 18-school field.
Campbell junior Michelle Koh finished in a tie for 17th place (76-71-77-224). Freshman Kaylin Yost (79-75-71-225) and senior Sarah Bejgrowicz (78-75-72-225) tied for 23rd. CU freshmen Maria Jose Benavides (80-77-79-236) and Alexandra Prazak (78-80-78-236) tied for 62nd in the 98-player field.
The Camels return to action Mar. 25-27 at the Cincinnati Spring Invitational in Crystal River, Fla.
