Sjoholm finishes 3rd, Campbell 5th at UNF Collegiate

JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – Annelie Sjoholm finished third on the individual leader board and Campbell placed fifth in the team standings after Tuesday's final round of the UNF Collegiate at Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.

Sjoholm shot 69-73-75—217 to finish behind only medalist Sana Tufail of Old Dominion (70-70-73—213) and runner-up Jiwon Jeon of Daytona State (70-74-71--215) on the par-72, 6002-yard layout.

Southern Miss (895) and Memphis (895) were tied atop the team leader board, but Southern Miss was awarded the title based on a scorecard tie-breaker.  Old Dominion and Daytona State tied for third at 896 strokes, while Campbell finished fifth at 898 in the 16-team field that included the likes of ACC member Virginia Tech, which placed ninth.

Coming off her first collegiate win last month at the Amelia Island Collegiate, Sjoholm registered her third top-10 finish of the season.  She was second in the field in par-3 scoring (-3) and with 11 birdies.

Campbell senior Nadine White (77-75-74—226) and freshman Desiree Andersson (75-75-76—226) tied for 21st place, while junior Ayelen Irizar tied for 39th (80-74-77—231). Sophomore Anna Svanka tied for 43rd (81-76-75—232).  Playing as an individual, freshman Stacey White finished in a tie for 31st (74-77-77—228). 

Stacey White led the field in par-5 scoring (-6) and tied Sjoholm for second with 11 birdies. Andersson tied for second with 38 pars in the 54-hole event.

As a team, Campbell tied for first in par-3 scoring (+12), was third on the par-4 holes (+45) and fourth on the par fives (-5).  The team result marked Campbell's third-consecutive top-five and fourth overall in six outings.

The Camels return to action this weekend at the SunTrust Gator Invitational, hosted by the University of Florida.
