Sjoholm earned her second Big South golfer of the week honor this year, while Andersson collected freshman of the week recognition for the fourth time during the 2016-17 season.
A junior from Vasteras, Sweden, Sjoholm finished third on the individual leader board to lead Campbell to a fifth place finish at the UNF Collegiate at Jacksonville Golf & Country Club. Sjoholm shot 69-73-75—217 to finish behind only medalist Sana Tufail of Old Dominion (70-70-73—213) and runner-up Jiwon Jeon of Daytona State (70-74-71--215) on the par-72, 6002-yard layout.
Coming off her first collegiate win last month at the Amelia Island Collegiate, Sjoholm registered her third top-10 finish of the season. She was second in the field in par-3 scoring (-3) and with 11 birdies.
She matched her collegiate low score in the opening round and lowered her score to lower her season stroke average to 73.5, best on the team. In six tournaments this season, Sjoholm has finished among the top 25 five times, including three top-10 finishes.
Sjoholm led the Camels to their third-straight top-five team finish. CU (301-297-300—898) placed ahead of fellow Big South member Charleston Southern (912) and ACC member Virginia Tech (912).
Andersson produced her second top-25 finish of the season with a tie for 21st at the UNF Collegiate (75-75-76—226). The freshman from Hollviken, Sweden tied for second with 38 pars in the 54-hole event at Jacksonville Golf & CC and lowered her scoring average to 75.6 in five events.
The honors accumulated by Sjoholm and Andersson marked the seventh and eighth weekly marks earned by Campbell women's golfers this year. Stacey White has also received freshman of the week status twice in the 2016-17 campaign.
Ranked No.-54 in the latest Golfstat NCAA rating, Campbell continues its spring season this weekend at the SunTrust Gator Invitational, hosted by the University of Florida.
The 54-hole event begins Saturday with 36 holes and concludes with Sunday's final round. Eleven of the 13 schools participating in the tournament are ranked among Golfstat's top-100, including sixth-ranked Florida, No.-11 Duke and No.-25 UCF.
Campbell will be paired with No.-44 Wisconsin and No.-38 Clemson for Saturday's first two rounds of the 45th-annual event. The par-70 Mark Bostic Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla., will play to 6002 yards. Three past winners of the event went on to earn Rolex Player of the Year honors on the LPGA Tour: Pat Bradley, Betsy King and Nancy Lopez.
Sjoholm will carry a No.-126 national ranking in the Golfstat Cup into the Gator Invitational with a team-low 73.73 stroke average. She is 36th in the country in sub-par strokes per round (3.39) and tied for 48th with 59 birdies in 18 rounds.
Senior Nadine White is No.-145 in the Golfstat Cup (73.87), is 22nd in the nation in putts on greens in regulation (1.84), 35th in greens in regulation percentage (.693) and 58th in fairways hit (.812).
Junior Ayelen Irizar is also ranked among the nation's top 250 by Golfstat (236th) with a 74.67 scoring average.
As a team, Campbell is tied for 28th with 191 birdies, 36th in par-five scoring (4.965) and 39th on the par-three holes (3.17).
