Campbell set for Journeymen Tussle Sunday

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - After a weekend away from competition, Campbell returns to action Sunday, Dec. 4, in Hempstead, N.Y. to take part in the Journeymen Tussle.

The event is hosted by Hofstra University at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex. FloWrestling will be streaming Sunday's event beginning at 9:45 a.m.

Campbell enters the weekend having most recently competed at the Navy Classic, where it earned one title, a pair of runner-up finishes and a third and fourth place finisher. Overall, Campbell finished fifth with 85 points on the day.

Nathan Kraisser took home first place with his 10-4 decision over Skaur Laney of Ohio in the 125-pound weight class. Jere Heino and Quentin Perez took home runner-up finishes in the 285-pound class and 165-pound class respectively.

Ville Heino won his third place contest at 184-pounds by a 10-1 major decision over Ryan Harman of Navy. Also at 165-pounds, Alex Herringshaw finished in fourth place overall.

Following the the Journeymen Tussle, Campbell will travel to Boone, N.C. to take on Appalachian State in the first Southern Conference matchup of the season.

Teams competing at the Journeymen Tussle include No. 17 Rutgers, No. 18 North Carolina State, No. 20 Penn, Brown, Citadel, and Hofstra.
