Kraisser finishes with 8th place finish at NCAA Championship

ST. LOUIS, MO. – After earning All-America status Friday evening, Nathan Kraisser competed in his final match of the 2017 NCAA Wrestling Championships for seventh place against No. 7 seed Sean Russell of Edinboro.

Russell took a 10-3 decision over Kraisser Saturday morning in the seventh place match. With the result, Kraisser finished in eighth at this year's tournament.

He finished with a 4-3 overall mark at this year's tournament as the No. 16 seed, including victories over a pair of ranked opponents, No. 9 seed Joshua Rodriguez and No. 14 seed Freddie Rodriguez.
