Wrestling ranked No. 21 in NWCA All-Academic Team Standings

MANHEIM, PA. - On the heels of its 2017 SoCon Championship, Campbell wrestling has added a top-25 finish in the NWCA All-Academic Team Standings to its résumé.

The Camels sit at No. 21 in the overall team rankings, which ranks the 30 best programs in the country based on team GPA. Campbell, with a team GPA of 3.273, is the highest team from the Southern Conference, followed by Gardner-Webb at No. 28 and Appalachian State at No. 29.

Campbell is one of eight teams to make the list for the first time. The ranking is headlined by last year's No. 1 team, Harvard, which has been in the top spot four of the last five years.

Nathan Kraisser, the program's first NCAA All-America honoree, and brother/teammate Austin Kraisser were named to the list of NWCA All-Academic Individuals.

N. Kraisser, a redshirt senior, will graduate this Spring with a degree in Sport Management. He finished as a SoCon runner-up at 125-pounds. He is one of 35 All-America selections to be named to the list.

A. Kraisser, the reigning Southern Conference Freshman of the Year, is currently studying Homeland Security.
