BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell women's soccer will travel to Johnson City, Tenn. to take on East Tennessee State University Sunday at 1 P.M. for the team's first regular season away match of 2014. The Camels hold a 2-2-2 all-time record against the Buccaneers.
The Fighting Camels will play in their second game in three games, after falling to UNC Wilmington Friday night, 1-0.
Through two regular season matches, Campbell has been outshot 32-17; the team has netted three goals while giving up three to its opponents.
Redshirt junior forwards Ashely Clark and Ashely Hartert, along with junior forward Marissa Hartert lead the team with one goal apiece. Sophomore midfielder Payton Ormsby and defender Nicole Connolly lead the squad with an assist each.
Clark continues to lead the team in shots, extending her shot tally to 10. Connolly follows in second on the team with two shots.
Junior goalies Samantha Lawson (0-1) and Alexis Connors (1-0) have split time, each garnering a start in net. Connors made six saves in the team's win against Richmond; Lawson was credited with the loss Friday against the Seahawks while tallying four saves.
The Camels will be back in action against Old Dominion as they travel to Norfolk, Va. to take on the Big Blue; kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
