Women's tennis selected fourth in Big South poll

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell women's tennis has been selected fourth in the Big South preseason poll, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon.

The Camels were nearly unanimously chosen to finish fourth, receiving eight fourth-place votes and one fifth-place vote from the league's coaches to total 53 points. The Winthrop Eagles were voted to repeat as conference champions with 79 points and seven first-place votes. A full breakdown of the poll can be viewed below.

CU returns two all-conference honorees from last season in Georgina Segarra and Isabel Boada. Segarra garnered second-team honors in singles with a 12-7 record on the year, going 10-6 in conference play. She and Boada were named second team all-conference in doubles, boasting a team-best 7-5 record in duals and a 4-3 record in conference matches.
