Women's tennis back in action Tuesday afternoon

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Fighting Camels are back in the Creek this week as Campbell women's tennis hosts the Charlotte 49ers on Tuesday, Feb. 7. The regional tennis action is set for a 2 p.m. start at the Nisbet Tennis Center.

CU currently sits at 2-2 on the year, most recently falling in a sweep to the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, 7-0. The Camels' last win came in their home opener against Chowan as they did not drop a single set and swept the Hawks, 7-0. The last time Campbell faced Charlotte was April 6, 2016 when the Camels fell in a close one on the road, 4-3.

The 49ers are currently riding a three-match win streak after opening the spring at 0-2. Throughout that stretch, Charlotte has defeated Gardner-Webb (5-2), USC Upstate (4-0) and Presbyterian (4-1).
