Camels open Big South play at Charleston Southern

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – After a week-long break, the Campbell women's tennis team is back in action this weekend. The Camels open Big South play as they visit the Charleston Southern Buccaneers on Saturday, Feb. 25, with the match scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Buccaneer Tennis Complex.

Campbell (3-5) is coming off a 5-1 victory over the N.C. Central Eagles on Saturday, Feb. 18. Alexandra Andrivot, Lea Cutura, Pauline Roustan and Nina Asanin all earned wins in singles play for CU, while Andrivot/Isabel Boada and Cutura/Asanin also notched wins in double for the Camels. Andrivot has a team-leading 10 singles wins for the 2016-17 campaign and will be looking for her third-straight win against the Bucs.

Charleston Southern (4-1) is currently riding a four-match win streak, earning victories over Wofford, South Carolina St., Savannah St. and Stetson over the past two weeks. Kimberley Koerner (5-0) and Yana Morar (4-0) are both enjoying unbeaten seasons in singles play this spring. CSU's top doubles duo of Sophie Cloessner/Nicoin Luecke owns a 4-1 record at No. 1 doubles this season.

Following the match, the Camels will return home for more Big South action as they host the Radford Highlanders. That match is scheduled for Friday, Mar. 3 at 2 p.m. at the James R. Nisbet Tennis Center. For the most up-to-date information on Campbell tennis, follow @GoCamelsTennis on Twitter.
