CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Fighting Camels fell in a sweep, 7-0, against the Charleston Southern Buccaneers in their first Big South match of the season. The loss moves Campbell's record to 3-6 (0-1 BSC) on the year, while CSU now owns a 5-1 (1-0 BSC) record this spring.

The match began with doubles play as Lea Cutura and Nina Asanin fell on court two, 6-0 to CSU's Koussenkova/Morar. The Bucs clinched the doubles point with a 6-1 win on court one as Alexandra Andrivot and Isabel Boada fell to Luecke/Cloessner. Pauline Roustan and Alexandra Nicoara came closest to a doubles win on court three as they narrowly lost, 7-5.

Campbell's closest chance at tallying points came on courts one and six from Andrivot and Asanin. Andrivot took two sets to tiebreakers against Nicolin Luecke but could not win either as she fell, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (0). Asanin was able to force a third set at No. 6 against Yana Morar, but fell in a third tiebreaker set for a final score of 6-1, 3-6, 10-7.

Up next, the Camels will return home for more Big South action as they host the Radford Highlanders. That match is scheduled for Friday, Mar. 3 at 2 p.m. at the James R. Nisbet Tennis Center. For the most up-to-date information on Campbell tennis, follow @GoCamelsTennis on Twitter.
