Women's tennis battles Liberty in Big South Quarterfinal Friday

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The No. 6 seed Fighting Camels are set to take on the No. 3 seed Liberty Flames in a Big South Women's Tennis Quarterfinal matchup on Friday, April 21. The match is scheduled to begin at noon at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex.

Campbell (8-12, 3-5 BSC) most recently had a pair of student-athletes named to the Big South all-conference teams. Sophomore Alexandra Andrivot received First Team All-Conference honors in singles, while she and classmate Isabel Boada were named Second Team All-Conference in doubles.

Andrivot leads the Camels with an 11-7 singles record this season and a 5-3 mark in conference play. She and Boada currently ride a four-match win streak in doubles and have won seven of their last nine matches headed into the conference tournament. In addition, Campbell juniors Nina Asanin and Georgina Segarra bring a two-match doubles win streak into Friday's match.

Liberty (11-11, 7-1 BSC) comes into Friday riding a three-match win streak with victories over Charlotte (6-1), Campbell (4-3) and Charleston Southern (4-3). Evangeline Crist and Anna Dollar represented the Flames on the all-conference teams, both receiving Second Team nods in singles.

Dollar rides a three-match win streak headed into Friday's contest as she leads the team with 13 total wins this spring. Liberty's winningest doubles pairing is made up of Emily Groeneveld and Mariely Hassey who boast a 12-6 record this season.
