Andrivot picks up 12th win, Camels fall to Liberty in Big South Quarterfinal

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Fighting Camels fell in the Big South Quarterfinals to the Liberty Flames, 4-1, Friday afternoon at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex. This marks the end of the season for the Campbell women, who finish the year with a record of 8-13.

Liberty (12-11, 7-1 BSC) took the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. Alexandra Andrivot and Isabel Boada fell at No. 1 doubles, 6-2, snapping a four-match win streak. The point was clinched on court two as Pauline Roustan and Lea Cutura dropped their match 6-4. Campbell juniors Nina Asanin and Georgina Segarra were tied at No. 3 doubles, 5-5, before the doubles point was decided.

The Flames' widened their lead to three with wins on courts five and four. Roustan fell at No. 5 singles to Emily Groeneveld, 6-4, 6-0, followed by Boada who dropped her match at No. 4 singles to Mariely Hassey, 6-1, 6-2. 

Campbell's only win of the day came on court one, where Alexandra Andrivot picked up her 12th win of the season by a score of 7-5, 6-2 over Rebekah Anderson. The match was clinched on court two after Cutura fell in straight sets, 6-0, 7-5.
