Kelley’s Career Night Not Enough in Volleyball’s Loss to Conference-Leading Liberty
Sophomore right side Brooke Kelley (Stafford, Va.) generated career-highs in kills with 18 and digs with eight as the Campbell volleyball team fell in a close three-set match to Big South-leading Liberty, 3-0 (19-25, 28-30, 24-26) on Saturday afternoon at Gore Arena. The Camels pushed the Flames to extra points in the second (28-30) and third (24-26) sets including achieving four-set points in the second frame, but were unable to put Liberty away.

The Campbell volleyball team’s offense ran through the middle on Saturday afternoon at Gore Arena as junior Lindsey Coats (Dunn, N.C.) tallied a career-best 15 kills and freshman Sam Zuber (Sunbury, Ohio) added 12 kills in a five-set defeat to Coastal Carolina, 3-2 (25-21, 25-23, 13-25, 22-25, 11-15). Junior setter Heather Wilson (Concord, N.C.) posted her sixth double-double on the campaign with season highs in assists with 45 and digs with 15.

The Holly Springs, N.C., native compiled 5.25 digs per set and set a career-high with 23 digs against North Carolina A&T.

Wilson Enters Volleyball Record Book with Triple-Double
On Sept. 8 in the final match of the NC State Courtyard Midtown Invitational, junior setter Heather Wilson (Concord, N.C.) set a new Campbell volleyball school record for rally scoring with a triple-double in a loss to Western Carolina. The five-set match saw Wilson total 13 kills, 24 assists and 13 digs.
