CHAPEL HILL, N.C.-Facing its sixth Atlantic Coast Conference
opponent this season, Campbell wrestling took a 46-6 loss at North
Carolina on Saturday afternoon in Chapel Hill.
Campbell falls to 2-20-1 on the season with the loss, while the Tar
Heels move to 10-6, also defeating The Citadel.
Sophomore
CJ Gittens at 125 pounds was the only Fighting Camel to pick up a
win on the day, earning a forfeit to move to 11-19 overall and 8-15
in dual bouts on the season.
In
all, Carolina combined for six falls, two major decisions and six
tech falls on the day as a team, with nine different Tar Heels
going unbeaten over the two matches.
The
Fighting Camels will have one more tune-up before the Colonial
Athletic Association Championships, facing Appalachian State at
home on Wednesday. Action is set to begin at 7 p.m. in Carter
Gym.
