Philadelphia, Pa. – Campbell wrestling will compete in the Keystone Classic Sunday, scheduled to be an "all day" event. The Camels will send seniors Daniel Luty and Garrison Matthews, sophomores Ville Heino and Ned Batts, and freshman Monte Britton.
"This tournament is good in terms of depth, and the type of schools that are coming," head coach Cary Kolat said. "The only two teams that we'll traditionally see there are VMI and Appalachian State; as for the rest, it's new blood, new competition that we're going against."
Heino, who has posted an 8-3 overall record this season, placed second in the 184 weight class last week at the Wolfpack Open, falling to Old Dominion's Jack Dechow, ranked No. 2 in the nation.
"I've started much better than I did last year, and I think the biggest difference has been coach Kolat," Heino said. "He has brought a lot to my wrestling, including my accuracy."
The Camels will be back in action Dec. 13 as they travel to Cleveland, Ohio to wrestle in the Cleveland State Open.
