OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. – Eloheim Palma's road to an NCAA Championship was cut short Thursday after falling in two matches at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
In the first round of competition at the heavyweight spot, No. 13 Ernest James (Edinboro) took the 9-0 major decision over Palma, who moved into the wrestleback bracket.
In the consolation first round, Oklahoma's Ross Larson defeated Palma 10-2, knocking the Cary native out of the tournament.
Palma finished the year with a 24-14 overall record.
