NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. – Nathan Kraisser advances to Session 2 on Thursday night after pinning No. 16 Anthony Giraldo of Rutgers in 6:12. Ville Heino fell to Jack Dechow of Old Dominion in a 4-1 decision and will also wrestle tonight.

Session one started with the pigtail brackets with Heino and Dechow squaring off right away. The two grapplers were even through most of the first period but Dechow managed the two-point takedown as time expired.

Starting the second on the bottom, Dechow earned the one-point escape, the only points scored in the second, to go up 3-0 over Heino. Heino chose down to start the third and Dechow racked up riding time. With 23 seconds remaining, Heino received one point for Dechow's second stall warning but the time ran short for the Camel who fell in a 4-1 decision to the Monarch after factoring in riding time (1+ minute).

Heino moves on to the wrestlebacks and must go through a second pigtail to progress to the main consolation bracket. He will face the loser of match 131, No. 3 Victor Avery (Edinboro) or Joe Ariola (Buffalo).

Kraisser took to the mats shortly after Heino finished up to face No. 16 Giraldo at 133-pounds. Giraldo earned the first points of the match as he took down Kraisser for two points. Starting the second down 2-0, Kraisser chose to start down and quickly earned the one-point escape and a takedown to go up 3-2.

At the end of the second Kraisser led 4-2 as the grapplers started the third period in neutral. The Camel grappler got the takedown to go up 6-2 and with just 48 seconds remaining on the clock got the Scarlet Knight on his back for a pin, the first of the day, to move on to the next round.

Kraisser will face No. 1 Nahshon Garrett from Cornell who won his opening match in a 10-3 decision over Mason Beckman (Lehigh).

Check back for session two updates that will come later tonight. Go Camels.
