BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Fighting Camels welcome Miami (Ohio), Western Michigan and Yale this weekend for the Campbell Invitational. The three-day baseball tournament is set for Friday through Sunday, Feb. 23-25 at Jim Perry Stadium.
Campbell will open the tournament against Yale Friday, Feb. 23 at 5 p.m. The Camels will face Western Michigan Saturday, Feb. 24 at 5 p.m. and wrap up the tournament Sunday, Feb. 25 with a 3 p.m. matchup against Miami (Ohio).
All three Campbell games will feature a live audio broadcast on GoCamels.com, while live stats will be provided for every game of the tournament via SIDEARM stats.

Campbell Fighting Camels (0-4)
- Campbell most recently fell to the East Carolina Pirates, 7-2, on Wednesday, Feb. 21.
- Freshman catcher Ty Babin leads the Camels with five hits on the season as the Holly Springs, N.C. native has gone 5-for-14 (.357) over his first four games.
- Matthew Barefoot boasts a .500 slugging percentage that leads the team. The redshirt sophomore is hitting 4-for-16 (.250) this year with one home run, one double and two runs scored.
- Wes Noble (0-1, 3.00 ERA) is Campbell's strikeout leader, as the senior fanned six batters over 6.0 innings on Opening Day.
- Brandon Jenkins and Logan Bender lead the Camel bullpen with five and four strikeouts, respectively.
Miami (Ohio) RedHawks (2-2)
- Miami (Ohio) split a four-game series at Arizona State to open the 2018 season.
- Opening Day starter Nick Ernst tossed six innings and struck out six batters, both team highs, as the RedHawks defeated the Sun Devils, 4-2.
- Arizona State took the middle two games, but the RedHawks responded with a 16-8 win in the finale to even the series.
- Carlos Texidor leads the Miami offense, slugging .600 and hitting 5-for-10 (.500) with one double, one RBI and five runs scored over the first four games.
Western Michigan Broncos (0-3)
- Western Michigan was swept by Purdue over the opening weekend in Emerson, Ga. The Broncos fell 5-1 in both games of Saturday doubleheader before dropping game three, 10-4.
- Catcher Jesse Forestell has an 11-game reached base streak that dates back to last season.
- Junior Conner Henderson opened the 2018 campaign hitting .364 with one run scored, one double and one stolen base.
- Bronco righty Nic Laio, who the Camels are projected to face Saturday, went a career-high five innings against the Boilermakers. The junior allowed one run on four hits and struck out three in his season debut.
Yale Bulldogs (0-0)
- The Bulldogs were selected as the preseason Ivy League favorite with 15 of 16 first-place votes. Yale won a program-record 34 games last season on its way to an Ivy League title.
- Yale returns six All-Ivy selections from last year, including two first-team members in pitcher Scott Politz and DH Benny Wanger.
- Politz, who the Camels are projected to face Friday, finished third in the nation with 11 wins in 2017.
- Wanger tallied a team-high 48 RBI on 39 hits, 10 doubles and eight homers last season.
Following the tournament, Campbell will host Pepperdine for a midweek contest on Wednesday, Feb. 28, with first pitch set for 6 p.m. at Jim Perry Stadium.
