In 2025, Iowa finished 35-18 overall and 15-7 in Big Ten Conference play, falling to Penn State in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT (MIAMI (OH))

Miami (OH) enters the weekend 5-4 overall and on a two-game losing streak following midweek road losses to Ole Miss and Kennesaw State. In 2025, the RedHawks finished 36-26 overall and 20-7 in the Mid-American Conference. Miami won the MAC Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Regionals in Knoxville, Tennessee, where it fell to Tennessee and Ohio State but defeated North Carolina. The RedHawks have won every MAC regularseason
championship since 2019.

Pitcher Angelina Ricciardi earned MAC Pitcher of the Week honors on Feb. 10. The RedHawks were selected to defend their MAC title in the league's preseason coaches poll and currently rank No. 13 in D1Softball's Mid-Major Top 25.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT (RADFORD)

Radford is 2-3 and riding a three-game skid. The Highlanders went 2-2 at the Troy Tournament and are coming off a 6-0 midweek loss to North Carolina.

Radford is led by Kevin Fagan in his second season. In his debut 2025 campaign, the Highlanders captured the Big South regular-season title and finished No. 24 in the D1Softball Mid-Major poll. Fagan was named Big South Coach of the Year after guiding Radford to a 30-26 overall record and a 14-4 mark in conference play. In 2025, The Highlanders posted their most overall wins since 2018 and most Big South victories since 2014, while earning their first postseason win since 2021.

Radford was selected as the preseason favorite in the Big South, receiving five of seven first-place votes. Five Highlanders earned preseason honors, led by Dakota Redmon as Preseason Pitcher of the Year.

SERIES HISTORY

This weekend marks the second all-time meeting between Campbell and Iowa. The teams last met during the shortened 2020 season, when Iowa earned a 5-2 win at the Kickin' Chicken Classic in Conway, South Carolina.

It will be the fourth all-time meeting between Campbell and Miami (OH). The RedHawks hold a 3-0 series advantage. The most recent matchup came in 2023 at the Charlotte Invitational, a 10-2 Miami victory. Charlie Montgomery and Allyiah Swiney each recorded three putouts in the contest.

Sunday's tournament finale marks the 65th all-time meeting between Campbell and Radford. Radford is the fifth-most frequent opponent in Campbell program history, as both schools were longtime foes in the Big South. The teams last met April 1, 2025, when Radford won 6-1 in eight innings at Buies Creek. Campbell's last win in the series was a three-game sweep in 2023, also in Buies Creek.
