CARY, NC ­- Campbell advanced two players out of the singles round of 128 and two doubles pairs out of the round of 64 as the Camels finished with 7-17 overall record at the ITA Carolina Regional October 12-15.
 
Lorenz Schwab posted a 1-1 record on the weekend with a 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 victory to open play on Thursday against College of Charleston's Ryan Khan. He then fell to South Carolina's Paul Jubb 6-3, 6-2.
 
Gerard Sola was the other Camel to advance out of the round of 128 with a win over College of Charleston's Fernando Ramirez 6-3, 6-2. Sola proceeded to lose to USC's Thomas Maryonne 6-2, 6-1.
 
Jonathan O'Neal and Sola paired up to defeat USC-Upstate's pair Fernando Bernardes and Felix Ewers 6-1, 6-2 in the round of 64. The duo then fell to USC's Gabriel Friedrich and Thomas and Thomas Maryonne 4-6, 7-5, 1-0.
 
Lukas Schaefer and Dustin Werner defeated Charlotte's Alex Garcia and Leo Menezes 7-5, 7-6 to advance to the round of 32 before a loss to UNC's Robert Kelly and Simon Soendergaard 6-3, 6-4.
 
O'Neal and Werner both lost their round of 128 games but advanced through the first round of the consolation bracket.
 
The Camels return to action Thursday, October 26 at the College of Charleston Invitational. The two-day event concludes on Friday, October 27.
