CAMMYS 2026 celebrates the past year of Campbell Athletics

BUIES CREEK - The year that was in Campbell Athletics was highlighted at the 2026 CAMMYS Thursday night at the Oscar Harris Student Union.
 
This year marked 15 years of the CAMMYS. Numerous former Mr. and Miss Campbell winners returned to The Creek to celebrate the milestone, with video pieces highlighting the playing and professional careers of past winners.  
 
Jonah Oster and Aley Clent took home top honors, being crowned Mr. and Miss Campbell 2026 and joining the illustrious list of winners.
 
Other notable winners included volleyball's Gwen Wolkow as Outstanding Female Athlete and DJ Smith from men's basketball as Outstanding Male Athlete. 
 
Volleyball led all teams with five awards, coming off a championship season that featured both CAA regular season and tournament titles. In addition to Clent and Wolkow's awards, the team earned Female Team Performance of the Year and Outstanding Team of the Year, plus Abbie Tuyo as the Female Iron Camel. 
 
Newcomer accolades went to Jasmine Nivar of Women's Basketball, and Mario Cantarero of Men's Track and Field. 
 
Additionally Women's Golf was honored with the Highest Team GPA, posting a 3.82.

Established in 2011 under the guidance of former Athletics Director Bob Roller, the CAMMYS are led by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, which consists of student-athletes from CU's 21 NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics programs.
