BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Three Camels have been named Preseason All-Big South, while Campbell is voted tied for second in the league's women's lacrosse coaches' poll.
High Point was picked as the conference's preseason favorite, receiving 7-of-8 first-place votes. Winthrop and Campbell tied for second in the preseason poll with 51 points, with the Eagles collecting the remaining first-place vote. Liberty, Radford, Longwood, Presbyterian and Gardner-Webb rounded out the poll.

Megan Reilly all represented Campbell on the 15-member 2018 Preseason All-Big South team.
High Point attacker Darla Poulin was tabbed Preseason Big South Offensive Player of the Year, with teammate and Erica Perrotta, a midfielder, named the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.

Placek earned her second-straight all-conference honor in 2017, being named First Team All-Big South after being a second team selection in 2016. The current junior led the Camels with 46 goals and 98 draw controls, ranking 15
th in the country in draw controls per game, 71
st in shot percentage and 74
th in total goals. The Baltimore, Md. native registered a point in all 18 games and scored in 17 contests with 11 multi-goal efforts, scoring a career-high seven goals at Longwood, matching the highest single-game tally in the Big South in 2017.
Kayla Reilly was named First Team All-Big South last season after leading the conference in assists, ranking 13
th nationally in assists per game and 16
th in total assists. A senior in 2018, Reilly also ranked 45
th in points per game in the NCAA, totaling 71 points on 28 goals and 43 assists and registering at least one point in 17 of 18 games with 12 multi-assist games and nine multi-goal efforts. Reilly tallied a career-high eight points against Winthrop on the way to her second career Big South Offensive Player of the Week award.
Megan Reilly was named Second Team All-Big South as a defender in 2017 owning 24 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers, matching up against the opponent's best inside players each game. The Fallston, Md. product notched six multi-ground ball games, gathering a season-high four versus both Cincinnati and Davidson. Reilly started all 18 Campbell games as a defender.
The Camels return 16 letterwinners, including nine starters, and welcome seven newcomers to the fold in 2018.
In 2017, Campbell finished with its best the record in the program's five year history, collecting 10 wins and advancing to its first ever Big South Championship game. Campbell finished second in the league's regular season (6-1), another program best, adding a record six All-Big South selections.
Campbell opens the 2018 season on February 10 at Richmond.
