Campbell Runners Take Men's and Women's Individual Titles; Campbell
Women Take Team Title at UNC Wilmington

Wyatt and Charlotte Farquharson took the individual titles and the
Campbell women won their second-straight race Friday night at the
UNC Wilmington Invitational.
The
win for Wyatt is his second in as many races this season for the
Campbell sophomore, while Farquharson, a freshman from Port Perry,
Ontario, finished third in her debut last weekend at the Campbell
classic.
The Campbell women totaled 25 points to defeat UNC Wilmington
(35) and East Carolina (66) in the 5K race. Farquharson completed
the course in 19:02 just over 11 seconds faster than teammate and
closest competitor Alyse Nelson who finished second in a time of
19:13.
Wyatt shaved over 32 seconds off his 5K time from last weekend
improving from 16:03 to 15:31.37 to win by 10 seconds over
Wilmington's Aaron Kolk who finished in 15:41. The Seahawks won
the team competition with 24 points, while the Camels finished
second with 40 and East Carolina rounded out the field with 63.
Amy Arthur finished in fourth place for the Camels with a time
of 19:35, followed by Hannah Roller in eighth (19:52), Louise
Vandaele in 10th (20:05), Tara Franklin in 13th (20:14), Diana
Norden in 23rd (21:32), Liza Davis placed 27th (21:53) and Melissa
Cooper crossed in 30th (22:37).
Finishing behind Wyatt and Helf for the Campbell men were Ken
Eichberg in ninth with a time of 16:33, Scott Miller placed 14th
(16:45), Geoff Anderson finished in 19th (17:12), Jordan Menze
finished 20th (17:28), Charles Robertson pl placed 24th (17:51)
and Jeffrey Klaves placed 25th (17:57).
Both teams stay close to home next weekend for the Adidas Raleigh
Invitational on Friday evening in Raleigh, N.C.
