Earle, Hood and Nibbs Hit Season-Best Times at Duke Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. – Michael Earle, Jeremaine Hood and David Nibbs each recorded season-best times to highlight performances of Campbell University athletes over the weekend at the Duke Invitational at Wallace Wade Stadium.
Earle, a freshman from Scarborough, Ontario, lowered his season-best time in the 5000 meters by more than nine seconds to 15:21.31. Frosh Kyle Ridington from Malvern, Pa., missed his season-best showing in the event by .31 seconds, finishing Friday's race in 15:35.64.
Nibbs, a freshman from Amberg, Wisc., posted a season-best time in the 200 meters (22.83), just behind sophomore Daniel Jenkins from Sardis, Ga., who finished in 22.82. Nibbs also ran a 52.09 in the 400 meters, his second-best time in the event this spring.
Hood, a sophomore from Snellville, Ga., ran a season-best 1:55.30 in the 800 meters, while freshman Clarence Williams of Hampton, Va., finished the 1500 meters in 4:03.83.
Junior Eric Bergemann of Gresham, Ore., placed fourth in the high jump at 6-feet, 8-inches.
The Campbell track and field teams continue their spring campaign on Friday and Saturday (Apr. 12-13) at the UNC Invitational in Chapel Hill.
