Usandizaga Finishes Second, Lady Camels Fourth at Tulane Invitational
NEW ORLEANS, LA. - Josefina Usandizaga finished in a
tie for second place and Campbell placed fourth aT the Tulane
Invitational Women's Golf Tournament on Tuesday at English Turn
Golf and Country Club.
Usandizaga, a junior from Tandil, Argentina, shot a two-over-par 74
on Tuesday to finish at 223 (76-73-74), one stroke behind
individual medalist Lindsay Hulwick from Tulane on the par-72,
6075-yard English Turn layout. Darby Sligh of Alabama joined
Usandizaga at seven-over 223, while Hulwick shot 77-74-71--222.
Tulane came back from a five-stroke deficit heading into the
final round to shoot a 288, the only sub-300 round of the 54-hole
event and win by 17 strokes at 905. First-day leader Texas
Christian finished second at 922, followed by South Florida (924)
and Campbell (926) in the nine-school field.
The Lady Camels return to action on Mar. 3-4 when they host
the Fighting Camel Classic at Keith Hills Country Club .
