Standout Octavia Blackwell Signs with
Campbell Basketball
BUIES
CREEK, N.C. - Standout guard Octavia Blackwell signed a National
Letter of Intent to play with the Campbell University women's
basketball team announced Head Coach Wanda Watkins today.
"Octavia
is a quick, athletic and hard working player," said Watkins. "She
is well-rounded, a good three-point shooter and an excellent
penetrator. She will give us added depth at the one-and-two guard
spots."
At
Pine Forest High School, Blackwell was an all-conference performer
averaging 12 points and nearly four points per game. She is an
excellent shooter hitting 46 percent of her three-point shots.
"Octavia
is an outstanding young lady who has represented her school,
community and church well. She will be a wonderful fit into our
program," said Watkins. "We welcome her and her family to our
Campbell University family here in Buies Creek."
