Hartman Leads Georgia State Past Lady Camels On Senior Day

BUIES CREEK, N.C. Georgia State's Patechia Hartman scored 25 points to lead the Panthers past Campbell 71-53 in the final game of the season for the Lady Camels.

Hartman's 25 points led all players, while Yvette Tisdale (12), Robyn Gilbert (12), and Monica Thomas (11) each reached double figures for GSU.

Campbell senior Terra Guandolo led the Lady Camels with 16 points in her final collegiate game, while freshman Jennifer Martin scored a season-high 13 points. Sophomore Jennifer Lodge chipped in 10 points to round out Campbell's scoring leaders.

The Panthers used a 38-16 advantage in the paint and 16 second-chance points to extend a four-point 31-27 half-time lead into as much as an 18 point lead in the second-half.

For only the third time this season (twice to GSU), the Camels allowed an opponent to shoot over 50 percent in a game. The Panthers were 31-of-60 (51.7 percent) for the game, while Campbell shot only 31.4 percent on 16-of-51 from the floor.

Campbell finishes the season 9-18 overall and 7-13 in the Atlantic Sun, while Georgia State improves to 17-10 overall, 14-16 in the league.

The Lady Camels finish in ninth-place and will miss going to the conference tournament for the first time since joining in 1994-95. Georgia State is currently in a first-place tie with Lipscomb and may be tied with UCF and Belmont as well.

The Panthers will next play in the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament hosted by Troy State in Dothan, Ala. on March 11-13. [Box Score]
