Campbell Finishes 10th At Charlotte 49er Collegiate Classic

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – Fredric Sundberg shot a three-under 69 and Campbell finished in a tie for 10th place Tuesday at the 49er Collegiate Classic men's golf tournament.

Led by individual medalist, host Charlotte finished the 54-hole event 10-under par (854) to edge second-place UNC Greensboro by one stroke. Virginia Commonwealth and Rhode Island tied for third at five-under 859 in the 15-school field.

Mincer matched his first round 66 over the final 18 holes and completed the tournament at 14-under 202. Ted Gray of Marquette was second at seven-under 209, one stroke better than third-place Jake Lowder of UNCG.

Sundberg followed a pair of 73s with his season-low 69 in the final round to complete the event at one-under 215 and tie for 16th place. Teammate Johan Rydheim tied for 21st at one-over 217.

Campbell concludes its fall schedule next Monday and Tuesday at the Stetson Invitational.
