Campbell Finishes Third at Stetson/Golf Daytona Beach Collegiate Invitational

DeLAND, FLA. -- Kyle Spahr and Fredric Sundberg tied for fourth individually and Campbell finished third in the team standings at the Golf Daytona Beach Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday at Victoria Hills.

Led by individual medalist Torstein Nevestad (71-74-69--214), Florida Atlantic won team honors (891) in the 14-school field. Jacksonville was second at 898 strokes, followed by Campbell (903).

Spahr and Jimmy Lytle of Elon were tied for the individual lead at even-par 144 after 36 holes, but each shot 77 on Tuesday to finish seven strokes behind Nevestad, who carded a three-under 69. Jacksonville teammates Russel Knox and Jamie Kennedy finished second and third, respectively, ahead of Lytle, Spahr and Sundberg, who notched his second-straight top-10 showing.
